The PV 3734 integrates a complete multimode, multiband transceiver-PA solution that meets 3GPP specifications and requirements for quad-band GSM/ EDGE and WCDMA/HSPA in bands I, II, V or VI. PV 3734 provides a complete modulation, tuning, and power amplification solution for the radio of a 2G/3G/HSPA device and is the first HEDGE solution enabled by ParkerVision's patented advanced wireless technologies. It yields best-in-class power consumption in multimode applications providing for longer talk-times and reduced package heat.
This high-performance RF solution enables high levels of integration by replacing GaAs-based IC's with silicon circuits. The solution facilitates densely integrated packaging into small form factors.
The receiver is a highly-integrated, direct-conversion architecture that eliminates post-LNA SAW filters. Seven LNAs are provided for corresponding GSM/EDGE and WCDMA/HSPA bands. The receiver also features selectable baseband channel filtering, DC-offset correction, and 2nd-order intercept point calibration circuitry.
